Pregnancy, breast-feeding and gravity leave their mark on the female breasts over the years. The skin loses its elasticity, the breasts start to lose shape and firmness and become saggy.

The surgical techniques for breast lifting and breast reduction (reduction mammoplasty) are fundamentally similar. In the case of breast reduction, additional glandular tissue is removed.

If you feel your breasts are too small overall, despite sagging or loss of volume, a breast implant can significantly improve their size and firmness. Furthermore, another possibility is to use a woman’s own fat to increase the breast volume again.

Lifting sagging breasts means removing excess fat, reducing the breast volume and re-shaping the mammary gland. Another suitable procedure could be a liposuction of the breasts, which gets big heavy breasts back in shape and produces almost no visible scars. The weight of the breasts is reduced, mere 3 mm small incisions in the lower breast crease are necessary to suck fat out of a large breast. The use of vibrating cannulas is important, as it leaves the glandular tissue unscathed and does not damage any structures. Normally, you can breast feed after this procedure.

With a breast liposuction we achieve a proportionate reduction, the breasts are smaller and firmer. The large areola will reduce in size. Usually, the overstretched skin recovers perfectly after a breast liposuction, however, it might be necessary to combine a breast liposuction with a breast lift.
